Frederikshavn (Frederik's harbor) is a Danish town on the northeast coast of the Jutland peninsula and is an important traffic portal with its ferry connections to Gothenburg in Sweden. The town is well known for fishing and its fishing and industrial harbours. Frederikshavn has many cultural and historical institutions that tell the story of the town in different ways, and describe the culture that is special for the town including the Krudttårnsmuseet (The Gunpowder Tower Museum), Bangsbo Fort, Niels Juels Kanoner (Niels Juel's Cannons) and the Ellingåskibet (The Ellingå Ship).
