Attractive town with Bishop's Palace which was the seat of the Bishops of Wrocław. As one of the oldest towns in Silesia, it was probably founded in the 10th century and takes its name from the Nysa river. Despite heavy damage in the Second World War many buildings still remain including the Scales House, the Basilica of St. James and St. Agnes and the Bishop's Palace.
