An otherwise perfectly normal north German town has something of a thing for record breaking. Kiel Canal Pedestrian Tunnel is the longest pedestrian tunnel in the world, it also has the longest bench in the world (501 m), on the banks of the Kiel Canal. However, the town is dominated by the Rendsburg High Bridge, the longest railway bridge in Europe., was constructed in 1913 to take the Neumünster–Flensburg railway over the Kiel Canal from the relatively flat land on either side. The town also is also home to the Jewish Museum, the Historical Museum and the Printing Museum
