Border town on the River Inn in Bavaria. The historic center of Simbach am Inn is a maze of narrow streets lined with traditional half-timbered houses. Marktplatz, the main square, is home to the Rathaus (town hall) and the Pfarrkirche St. Martin (parish church). Over the bridge is the Austrian city of Braunau am Inn. There are a number of cycle and hiking trails to explore the surrounding countryside including Chiemsee Cycle Path, which takes you along the banks of the Inn River and through the Chiemsee lake region.
