Alviano is a town and comune in the province in Umbria and located in the valley of the Tiber River. Alviano is known for its medieval castle, which was built in the 12th century. The town is also home to a number of churches, including the Church of Santa Maria Assunta in Cielo, which houses a number of valuable frescoes.
