Pianoro, is a comune known for its historical center and scenic surroundings. It dates back to the Roman era and became a strategic location during the Middle Ages, being on the Via Flaminia, a major Roman road. As a result, the town was also home to several castles and fortifications. You can learn more about its history at the Museo Civico Archeologico which houses artifacts from the prehistoric era to the Middle Ages.
