Historic village dominated by its castle, it's a good place to get into the Medieval mindset of Guelphs against Ghibellines. Castle includes the Rilliana Municipal Library with its over 25,000 volumes and the 14th-century frescoes attributed to Taddeo Gaddi, a pupil of Giotto.
